How to book a band

Use the "browse by genre" menu at the top of this page to find and browse acts by music genre. On each act’s profile page you’ll find biographical information, audio and video, pictures, a song list and feedback from previous clients. Build up a list of suitable acts by clicking on the "add to enquiry list" button next to acts you like. You can view and edit this list at any time by using the "my enquiry list" link at the top right hand corner of every page.

Once you’re happy with the acts you’ve added to your enquiry list, fill in the enquiry form (including as much detail about your event as you can), and we’ll get in touch straight away to confirm prices and availability

Once you’ve received our quote and would like to go ahead with a booking, give us a call or reply to our email, and we’ll draw up a secure, comprehensive booking contract between you and the act. A small deposit is payable by credit card, cheque or BACS transfer upon confirmation, and the rest is usually payable to the act on the day of your event.

Booking an act with us is just the beginning. We offer a helpful and efficient follow-up service to deal with any queries you might have before the day. We can also put you in touch with the act before your event date, to discuss the music, and to run over details for the day.

By booking through Function Central you also have peace of mind that your act is vetted by our team and road-tested at hundreds of events every year.

We also operate a round-the-clock emergency hotline. So if the worst happens, and an accident or bad weather prevents an act from reaching you on the day, we'll be able to offer alternatives from the hundreds of acts on our roster.
