10 Dreamy Lakeside Wedding Venues For Every Kind of Couple

If peace, tranquillity and natural beauty are on your wedding day wish list, you might want to consider a lakeside wedding venue. Picture yourself stood at the water’s edge as you exchange your vows in front of your loved ones, or toasting your nuptials as the sun sets over the lake, sounds pretty dreamy, right?

With the beauty of nature as your backdrop, you won’t need to worry about extra adornments or creating a romantic atmosphere. All you’ll need to do is choose whether you’d like to toast with Pimms or champagne at the lakeside and select a wedding reception musician to provide a backing track.

From the woodlands of Scotland to the Welsh hills and the Cornish countryside, there are plenty of lakeside wedding venues dotted across the country and we’ve created an edit of the very best.

While outdoor ceremonies are ideal at lakeside venues, the great British weather often has other plans. We’ve made sure each and every venue below can accommodate indoor or sheltered nuptials without compromising on those all-important views – happy browsing!

For the wedding breakfast, you can bring the party indoors into the coach house.
