GSMA London Office Christmas Party

The Yacht has a fabulous history and great views over the Thames at night.

The band filled the dancefloor, played a good variety of songs and had lots of energy and stage presence!

There was no specific theme on the night except to bring our colleagues together and give them a fun and relaxed night with good entertainment.

We were looking for a band that would entertain a mixed crowd and get them on the dance floor. We did a quick search on the internet for function bands in London and came across Function Central.

The site had a good variety of bands, simple category finder and easy navigation. Being able to view matching details for each band and listen to the demos was a great help and made choosing our band very simple.

After listening to the demos and viewing the play lists we chose Rockit, who were a perfect fit for the night.

They turned up early to set up as requested as there was parking restriction in the area, and even though we had them play late into the night, they were very friendly and relaxed, checked what we needed on timings and music and then fitted smoothly into the night’s schedule.

The band was great – just as we expected. They filled the dancefloor, played a good variety of songs, and had lots of energy and stage presence!

Having the dance floor packed with everyone singing along to the band was exactly what we had wanted for the night and was great to see.

My advice to other party planners: planning all the small details in advance is crucial, but don’t stress when everything doesn’t run exactly to schedule – you’ll be the only one who notices! You planned it so go with it and enjoy it.

We had a huge amount of positive comments during and after the event with everyone really enjoying the entertainment. We would recommend using Rockit for a party environment and would happily book them again.
