Karen's 50th Birthday Party

We held my birthday party at home in a marquee in the garden. I wanted it to be personal and not some "venue".

Rockit were fantastic – they arrived and set-up on time then entertained the lively party with brilliant music – getting almost everyone on the dance floor!

The theme was festival fun! Most guests made a real effort with their outfits.

The marquee was decorated with pom poms, funky lighting, light cubes, and a lit-up pink LED bar.

Guests were greeted with a cocktail at the entrance to the marquee.

I also hired two face painters and a magician for the first couple of hours which was really fun!

We chose Rockit to play – we had seen them at a friend's 40th birthday, loved them, and wanted that same fun rock vibe!

Rockit were fantastic – they arrived on time, set up and were well-organised – and then entertained the lively party with brilliant music – getting almost everyone on the dance-floor – even my teenage sons were impressed!

I loved the whole evening – it was relaxed and great fun!
