The grandeur of The British Library was the backdrop for The London Book Festival Awards to which guitarist Andres G provided elegant accompaniment.
The London Book Festival Awards acknowledge the best of international publishing. Fittingly, the event was held at The British Library.
Andres was a perfect fit with the ambience
It's the world's greatest collection, and what better place to honour publishers and authors from all over the world?
Event organiser Bruce Haring found Andres through an online search for corporate entertainment in London.
He was thrilled to come across an agency who could provide music for his event: "the service I normally use for US bookings doesn't have a UK division, I'm so glad I found you!"
Bruce chose Andres because he thought a classical guitarist would provide a soft and classy touch during the event. Bruce said "he helped relax our guests during his performance slot and was a perfect fit with the ambience of the library."
Bruce's advice for other event planners is simple, but cryptic!
"Endeavor to persevere. Less is more. And never, ever play poker with a man named Doc."
