The RAC #OrangeHeroes Awards

Dan Sparks had the job of organising The RAC's #OrangeHeroes Annual Awards Ceremony, which was held at The Vox at Resorts Word, Birmingham.

Rockit were incredible. Never have we had a better band at RAC's #OrangeHeroes Annual Awards.

This venue was perfect for their event, having been tried and tested the previous year, when it worked really well. Its central location in the Midlands was also key, given that The RAC had guests attending from all over the country.

The theme for the event was... orange!

Dan booked lots of entertainment for the event, with Glow Show LED performers kicking off the evening, followed by a choir. Dan told us "both acts were faultless. Our magician, caricature artists, balloon supplier, photographers, venue staff etc were all amazing too."

Next came the live music: "we chose Rockit as they have played before at a couple of weddings of RAC staff, so we knew how good they were."

"We have been holding our annual awards since 1997 & know the difference that live music makes to the event & therefore Rockit were the obvious choice."

"We've used Function Central before and had great service, so it was a no-brainer!"

Dan's favourite moments of the big night? "Obviously crowning our four #OrangeHeroes of the Year was a particular highlight for us, as was the amazing firework display that we had over the lake, our Glow show LED performers and the choir."

"But the party, led by Rockit was something very special, and has been talked about by so many of our guests since the event. From The Beatles to AC/DC, they play it all."

"Sweet Child of Mine though was breath-taking - hats off to Steve on lead guitar for a fault-less guitar solo - Slash could have been in the room!"
