Our wedding reception took place at Caswell House in Oxfordshire, which is a series of gardens and converted barns in the Cotswolds. We thought (and still think) it’s the most beautiful setting, perfect for a summer wedding!

We went for a relaxed English summer’s day theme. We just wanted people to enjoy themselves amongst the beautiful flowers and the gorgeous Cotswold stone, after what's been a tough year for everyone (and 3 postponements for us!).

We knew we wanted live music and started by browsing more local wedding bands in Oxfordshire, then quickly realised that there was only one band for us – The Sweet & Lowdown.

We actually heard them play at our friends’ wedding which was 7 years ago – it was the first wedding we ever went to together!

They were so good we talked about them at every wedding we went to since - and they didn’t disappoint on the day!

The dancing took place outside due to restrictions - and it was all the better for it!

It's hard to choose – the sun shone on the outdoor ceremony, the magician amazed everyone during the drinks reception, the wedding breakfast was delicious, the speeches got a few laughs and the odd tear, and the dancing was enthusiastic all evening!

Hire The Sweet & Lowdown! They are possibly the best wedding band ever. They adapted to the slightly different set-up following multiple postponements and everyone was commenting on how amazing they were! Thank you so much.
