We booked Morgans Hotel in Swansea. The venue was absolutely beautiful and was able to accommodate all of our requests, it's local to us and is so elegant, it's always been somewhere we've had our eye on.

It was a wedding party, we just wanted everybody to have a good night and a good dance.

Being a musician myself it's something I'd always wanted. I feel that a live performance generally gets people dancing a bit more and provides a much more memorable experience compared to a DJ or a backing track. I chose The Crossfades in particular as their repertoire covered the 'rockier' style of music that I enjoy - they really did incorporate something for everyone.

Being able to play a few songs with the band was a great experience that I will never forget. Being able to play in front of all my friends and family, on my wedding day, is something I will never get to recreate.

I found Function Central through an online search. I felt that they provided the info on all the acts very well, compared to other sites which didn't quite make it as easy to listen to/watch videos of the acts performing.

Make sure you do what you want to do - it's your day, not anybody else's - we got a bit caught up in making sure everyone else was okay, rather than focusing on ourselves for the night!
