We chose the conservatory of The Millennium Gloucester Hotel for our wedding reception.

The Clemenza String Trio played beautifully, dressed elegantly, and everyone thought they were just brilliant!

I booked it because I wanted a light location, like a garden marquee, but being in the centre of London that was not really possible. The conservatory let in a lot of light and was very elegant with its white structure. I wanted a classic and elegant feel.

I booked a string quartet to play during dinner and create a beautiful, classy ambiance which wouldn't overpower the guests' conversations, and we chose The Clemenza String Trio from Function Central.

The trio played beautifully and dressed elegantly, and everyone thought they were just brilliant. They definitely added to the classy feel of the room, and every piece they played were ones I had chosen to fit the theme I was going for.

I requested that the pieces they played weren't too slow, but not too fast either – and they did exactly that! I had heard some of their pieces online beforehand and read about their experience and I knew they could be trusted to deliver exactly what I wanted.

My favourite moments were definitely the dinner and having the trio play, as well as a college reunion song (Sweet Caroline), sung along by the guys who went to Boston College with the groom!

I also had a black and white dance-floor and a DJ for the evening party, who played songs such as "Unforgettable" and 'L.O.V.E" in between the trio's sets.

My husband had a sweetheart table at the front, and this worked out wonderfully as it gave us moments alone together, to catch our breath while we ate.

If you can afford it, a wedding planner is a good investment! I didn't budget for one, but being a perfectionist, I wished I had hired a wedding planner just for the day. That being said, everything was wonderful on the day!

I found Function Central online, and chose to book with them due to the list of great-looking acts and how easy the website was to use! I found the prices very reasonable too.
