We booked Merrydale Manor near Knutsford in Cheshire back in 2017. This was before it had even been converted into a wedding venue – it was the owner's house before.

I simply fell in love with the exclusive use and grounds that came with the venue. It really is spectacular. After Covid delayed us 2 years, we finally got married on 19th April 22. And it was worth the wait – the wedding was everything we'd wished for.

The venue itself was spectacular so we really didn’t need to do much to make it special. I was a D.I.Y bride and loved making most of my decorations. We wanted a modern look which the venue offered perfectly.

We always said we would make sure the food and entertainment were high up on the to-do list. We wanted to have a great band for our guests and chose Agent Smith.

I read every review and I just knew from these that they wouldn’t disappoint. And I’m so glad I just went with my gut… it was the best decision of my wedding to-do list!

The band were exactly what we wanted. Everyone was singing along with them word for word. They were fantastic and we never left the dance floor.

We loved every second! Everyone is still complimenting on how good the band were and asking me where I booked them. We have some fabulous photos from the evening with the band – as you can see we all had an amazing time!

We came across Function Central on Google. I liked the fact that you liaised with the band on their behalf. I imagine they are very busy, and having Function Central as an intermediary was ideal for both band and client.

After Covid, we completely lowered our expectations. We were so glad that our wedding happened and our guests could enjoy the day.

The small things don’t matter. So after waiting 5 years we really did just enjoy the day and ignored the small materialistic things.
