Our wedding ceremony, reception and evening reception all took place at the Old Barn in Esholt, Baildon. We chose the venue for it's beautiful interior features – stone walls and beams.

They got everyone up and it wasn't long before the dance-floor was full – we would recommend Hudson to anyone!

Our wedding theme was rustic which suited the venue – the beams were decorated with fairy lights and flowers and we lit candles around the venue to create a lovely atmosphere.

The venue is very homely and comfortable with two floors, lending itself to plenty of space and variety for guests, and also has a golf driving range attached which is great for action shots and a bit of fun!

Our wedding car was a Series One Land Rover, restored by my Grandad, it was in pristine condition and a highlight for me and my Grandad travelling to the venue.

Our wedding cake was hand-made by my other Grandad and decorated amazingly by a good friend. It sat on a log of wood to add to the rustic feel.

We decided that we wanted to have a live band for our evening entertainment as we both love live music. We looked through a number of wedding bands and eventually decided that Liverpool wedding band Hudson were the ones for us.

Before the wedding we asked if the band would do a live lounge version of Mr Brightside. They were more than happy to accommodate this – it was a beautiful choice for our first dance. We would recommend Hudson to anyone!

Hudson were brilliant – very friendly and helpful both before and on the day. They played a wide range of music ranging from the 50s to present day, which was exactly what we wanted. Our guests thought they were fantastic. They got everyone up dancing and it wasn't long before the dance-floor was full.

It's hard to pick a favourite moment as the day went exactly how we imagined it would (if not better). We wish we could do it all again, it was a day we will never ever forget and most of all we had fun.
